Lakeview Baptist is here to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our neighbors and all those across the globe through the preaching and teaching of God’s word and missions outreach.
As many of you know, Wes has been courageously battling cancer for quite some time. It is with a heavy heart that I share that he has gone home to be with our Savior.![]()

While we will deeply miss him here, we take comfort in knowing that he is now with the Lord and free from pain.![]()

Funeral arrangements have been made, and Pastor Tom Shank and Pastor David Clemens will officiate the services. Do note that the services will not be at Lakeview because they require larger facilities. As many of you who attended last year’s fundraiser know, Wes is greatly loved by his community, and we expect a large turnout.![]()

Services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Leaf Church (formerly Longenecker Fellowship), located at 2200 TR 606, Dundee, OH 44624.![]()

A family burial will take place earlier that morning at 9:30 AM at Westlawn Cemetery in Winesburg, prior to the church service. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:00–3:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM at New Leaf Church.![]()
